QPL cat C approved for MIL DTL 38999
F.C. Lane Electronics are QPL cat C approved for the assembly of MIL DTL 38999 connectors for which we hold extensive stocks of piece parts.


RoHS Information from FC Lane
The forthcoming European ‘RoHS’ legislation (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) will become law from 1st July 2006 and will restrict the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and the flame retardants PBB and PBDE in new electrical and electronic equipment. Weald Electronics is committed to manufacturing products that are compliant with this new directive, and with the exception of a few termination styles in the M300 series (by the end of 2005, tin/lead terminations on this product range will be replaced with pure tin), all product ranges are fully compliant. All products will be clearly labeled as to their ‘RoHS’ status together with the identification of any plating material (examples below). There are a number of exempted applications for some of the restricted substances, but in conjunction with our existing connector ranges, alternatives to cadmium plating are now available in zinc cobalt as standard.
